Known Issues:

Synk 6.4 (Backup, Standard, and Pro):

  • Connecting to a network host by different methods (e.g. hostname and IP address) can cause Synk to unmount it after running even if it didn't have to mount it for the run.
  • Synk Backup (only) may display nonsensical numbers of warnings in the overall status area. The numbers in the individual run logs are correct.

DTerm 1.1.1:

  • "Pull command from results" doesn't work if the command field is already currently being edited (i.e. has a flashing insertion point). Fixed for the next release.

Screen Mimic 2.3:

  • SWF/FLV exporting with an audio track from a file only works with WAV files. Currently investigating.
  • Using the "Recording area follows mouse" without the "Hide recording area guide" can result in the recording area guide sometimes being recorded due to buffering in OS X's graphical systems. We're trying to find an effective workaround, but meanwhile you'll probably want to hide the recording area guide when having the recording area follow the mouse.

Troubleshooting Tips:

As our userbase grows, the amount of time we're having to spend answering questions with the same answers keeps growing. By doing some due diligence on your own first, you can often get an answer faster than by asking by email, and free up more time for us to work on making our products better for you!

First, check to make sure you're running the most recent version of the product. Check the individual product pages for the most up-to-date copy. Make sure you meet the system requirements as given on the page, too. For instance, Synk 6 and Screen Mimic require Tiger or later, and will not run on Panther. (DTerm requires Leopard.)

If your question is about how the product works or how to do something, try checking the help files through the Help menu. There is a lot of information there to help you.

If your question is about whether a product is able to do something that's not directly addressed on the website, download the app and see! You can download all of our products at any time for a free trial period.

Also, check around on the forum to see if anybody else has already asked about your issue. If you don't see an answer there, ask away, and your question and answer will be immortalized there for future users to benefit from.
